Florian Huettl, CEO at Opel/Vauxhall: “With Jung von Matt, we will be supported in future by one of the most creative agencies in the world. We are very much looking forward to the cooperation and new impetus in the continuing emotionalisation of our brand. Already the first approaches in the pitch electrified us.”
Dr. Peter Figge, partner at Jung von Matt: “We are all extremely pleased that Opel has chosen Jung von Matt HAVEL. The Berlin team has been thrilled about Opel and Vauxhall since the beginning of the pitch and is looking forward to accompanying two iconic brands internationally on their way to becoming an e-mobility brand.”
The tender, which has just been completed, took place in rotation with the expiry of the existing contract. Opel/Vauxhall CEO Huettl added: “McCann has been a very reliable partner for us since January 2019. We would like to thank CEO Philipp Jahn and his team for the successful cooperation during this important period, especially for excellent projects such as the current campaign for the new Astra Hybrid.”
Opel is currently in the middle of a brand profiling and major electrification offensive. Today, the manufacturer already offers 12 electrified models – from the Rocks-e, Corsa-e, Mokka-e and Astra Hybrid to the Movano-e. By 2024, the entire portfolio will be electrified. As of 2028, Opel will offer only battery-electric vehicles in Europe.
