Life begins at 40, also for the bestselling Opel Corsa, which this year celebrates its 40th anniversary. The Corsa revolutionised the small car class with its premiere in 1982 and laid the foundations for ongoing success. To date well over 14 million units have left the plants. Today the bestseller is in its sixth generation and demand is as high as ever, especially for the all-electric Corsa-e.
When the first generation Corsa arrived on the market, buyers were immediately wowed by the angular appearance and the unconventionally stylish interior – in particular a tartan seat-trim that is now making a special comeback.
Fashionistas will soon be able to display their affinity for the timeless pattern with a limited edition of tartan socks that will be available from the Opel Lifestyle Shop. The specially designed jubilee box contains four pairs of the comfortable, eye-catching footwear. Fans will take delight in one pattern that matches the original Corsa A trim, plus another that offers a more modern take. Adorned in these elegant garments, the proud wearer – like the Opel Corsa itself – will always be in fashion.
The modern interpretation of the original Corsa tartan seat fabric as fashion accessory whets the appetite for more. Customers and friends of the brand can therefore look forward to additional exciting news around the celebrations of Opel’s 160th anniversary and 40 years of the Opel Corsa.
