Raw material prices are high, especially copper has become expensive

In terms of copper demand, according to most experts, the signs are pointing to growth.

The industrial metal copper is in demand as never before. The climate change requires more copper, as does the increasing electrification of road traffic. Wind and solar energy are being expanded and therefore also increasingly consume the reddish metal. According to estimates, these sectors should consume an additional three million tons of copper annually by 2030. Global copper demand also increased from 2011 to 2020.

If you add the reduced investments by mining companies and the fact that copper cannot be practically exchanged for other raw materials, the copper price should continue to show strength. In 2020, the world needed about 25 million tonnes of copper. About 20 million tonnes of copper came from the mines. In addition, there is recycled copper. So, recycling should also become more important in the coming years. By the way, copper is not only an important material for the circular economy. Copper that is recycled enables the recycling of various other materials. Thus, recycling copper – it is more or less a carrier metal – is Europe’s most important way of preserving critical and valuable metals. More than 20 metals can be filtered out in the process. Because copper is an important component of renewable energies and electromobility, McKinsey forecasts a possible increase in copper demand of 43 percent by 2035 compared to today.

Copper in the projects have, for example, Aztec Minerals or Adventus Mining.

Aztec Mineralshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4iftwdjuCAU – owns the Cervantes project in Mexico, which contains gold, copper and silver. In addition, the company is working on the Tombstone project in Arizona (gold and silver), drilling is ongoing.

Adventus Mininghttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5KJPuGZNR0s – is working on gold and copper in Ecuador in addition to other exploration projects. The focus is on the El Domo project and the Curipamba district.
