The myrto Brightening Serum contains an effective composition of skin-regenerating vitamins. The Bakuchiol plant extract used is a skin-friendly plant alternative to synthetic vitamin A (retinol) – without its skin-irritating side effects. The myrto concept

As usual with myrto facial care, the vegan vitamin serum is also free from palm oil and skin-weakening additives such as alcohol, preservatives and fragrances. Emulsifiers are also taboo in all myrto products: These auxiliaries not only combine aqueous and oily components in cosmetics. They also bind protective lipids (fats) in the skin’s barrier layer, continue to emulsify there and, as an unpleasant side effect, loosen the protective skin barrier.

Instead of the usual emulsifiers, we at myrto use skin-analogous vegetable phospholipids (part of every human cell membrane) as well as pectin and beta-glucan. Pectin made from fruit fibers holds oily and water-soluble components of the recipe together like a grid on the skin. This means a physical bond instead of the usual chemical bond. Pectin forms a thin, breathable protective film on the skin. At the same time, the highly potent natural active ingredient beta-glucan migrates from the oat germ layer with its protective and healing properties into the deeper layers of the skin. Beta-glucan has been shown to stimulate the formation of tissue-tightening skin’s own collagen. It binds moisture in the skin intensively and for a long time. Studies show that beta-glucan from oats with a molecular weight of approx. 800 kDa binds approx. 400% more moisture than hyaluronic acid of the same molecular size.
