On 11 March 2024, the Green Energy 3000 corporate group celebrated its 20th anniversary. The company was founded two decades ago with five employees. Today, Green Energy 3000 employs over 80 people at various locations around the world. The headquarters of the project developer, general contractor and operations manager in the field of renewable energies are situated in Leipzig. Other locations are in Lyon and Reims (France) as well as in Dubai (UAE) and Astana (Kazakhstan).
However, Green Energy 3000 has not only grown in terms of personnel. In the last 20 years, the company has realised around 70 projects with a cumulative output of more than 350 MW. The umbrella organisation Green Energy 3000 Holding GmbH comprises several subsidiaries, including Green Energy 3000 GmbH, Green Energy 3000 France SARL, Green Asset 3000 GmbH and Green Energy 3000 Project Management LLC.
Sustainable growth and international projects
The company has a clear intention to continue its commitment to renewable energies and the reduction of CO2 Emissions. Andreas Renker, Managing Director of Green Energy 3000, emphasised this in his anniversary speech: "We continue to strive for sustainable growth in order to make a tangible contribution to the generation of renewable energies and the reduction of CO2 levels in the medium and long term."
In addition to national growth, the internationalization of the company is also part of this strategy. Concrete projects are already underway and will lead to further expansion of international locations. In addition, the company is increasingly focusing on operating its own solar parks and wind farms. The focus is also on innovation projects such as the further expansion of battery storage systems and agrivoltaics.
With its work, the company is making an important contribution on the road to energy independence for all countries. The Group also supports the expansion of renewable energies in Germany, which accounted for more than half of the electricity supply for the first time in 2023. "Our mission is not over yet. We want to further expand renewable energies so that the world can become less dependent on fossil fuels", concludes Andreas Renker.
The official company celebration to mark the 20th anniversary of Green Energy 3000 will take place in Leipzig in May with all employees and together with customers and partners.
Green Energy 3000 Holding GmbH is the umbrella organisation of German and international companies working together on the energy transition. The group’s range of services includes project development, planning, financing, purchasing, construction and operational management of wind and solar parks, hybrid plants with battery storage and agrivoltaics projects. Over 65 projects with a cumulative capacity of more than 350 MW have been realised since 2004.
