The oldest gold in the world

The oldest gold of mankind was found in Varna on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast.

It is a large burial site. It is considered one of the most important sites in history. The gold treasure discovered there in the 1970s dates back to the period between 4,600 and 4,200 B.C. and it contains around 3,000 gold artifacts. Almost 300 graves have been identified so far. One of them was particularly unusual because it housed a ruler or leader. Thus, it also contained more gold than other burials. In any case, the oldest worked gold and copper in human history have been found at Varna. Among other things, there are rings, chains, vessels and tool parts. Beads were made from thin strips of gold sheet, probably the oldest gold bead necklace on earth.

Gold treasures are discovered every now and then. A private treasure hunter in northern Holland found a gold treasure that is around 1,000 years old with the help of a metal detector. It was gold coins and gold jewelry from the High Middle Ages. Perhaps the treasure was buried at that time because there were wars there in the period around 1,250 and the owner wanted to hide his valuable treasure. The treasure hunter had already made the find in 2021.

Around the same time in Denmark, a man also used a metal detector to discover a gold treasure that was about 1,500 years old, one of the largest gold treasures ever to come to light in Denmark. It is believed that burying the gold was to appease the gods after a volcanic eruption. Instead of roaming the countryside with a metal detector, it might be more promising to rely on well-established gold companies that use the latest technologies to extract the valuable metal from the ground.

For example, there is Tudor Goldhttps://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/tudor-gold-corp/ – with its Treaty Creek Gold Project in British Columbia. A large diamond drilling program for 2023 has been successfully started.

In Idaho, Revival Goldhttps://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/revival-gold-inc/ – is working on the exploration and development of its Beartrack-Arnett gold property.
