This chemical structure is mostly known as C8 and it is still present in homes around the world. (Anyone who uses an older non stick frying pan or oven tray will be using items coated with this type of technology.)
In order to provide clients around the world with coatings with ZERO PFASs CCM GmbH from Overath in Germany has created a new range of highly effective water proofing coatings which are available for both industrial and DIY application.
These coatings are based on CCM’s award winning "Liquid Glass (SiO2) technology".
The core to this technology is the innovative use of what is in essence quartz.
The SiO2 coats the fabrics with a nanoscale coating of "glass", thus protecting the fabric against abrasion and water.
It should be noted that we all hold SiO2 with our bodies… most of us eat or drink small amounts of SiO2 every day…. it forms 30% of whale’s diet!
