HMF Smart Solutions exhibits at Hannover Messe

Wireless communication solutions and applications for Industry 4.0 – 5G campus networks, use cases, services: HMF Smart Solutions will be exhibiting at Hannover Messe (17 to 21 April 2023) in Hall 14 at Stand H06/53 in the "Industrial Wireless Arena + 5G Networks & Applications" section.

As specialists for customised communication solutions in the field of professional mobile radio as well as suppliers and partners for smart digitalisation solutions and system integration, HMF Smart Solutions will be presenting innovative 5G infrastructure and a wide range of application and integration options at Hannover Messe. Industrial 5G – Unfold the Full Potential.

5G Smart Box – the turnkey, private 5G solution

The 5G Smart Box from HMF Smart Solutions is a complete, fully autonomous and high-performance private 5G stand-alone radio system, offering almost unlimited application possibilities. At Hannover Messe, HMF Smart Solutions will be presenting an all-in-one gNB that supports the n77/n78 frequency band (ideally suited for 5G campus networks in Germany).

Highlights of the 5G Smart Box at a glance:

Ultra-fast: Transmission of data in real time

Innovative: State-of-the-art 5G, easy-to-handle, future-proof

Tailor made: Precisely matched to the individual area of application

Secure: Data sovereignty through dedicated infrastructure

Extremely flexible: Scalable, customisable, interconnectivity

The 5G Smart Box can be specifically adapted for each application. Extremely flexible.
Let’s think 5G together.

5G Interworking – Connecting Today with the Future

The best of all technology worlds: Smart system integration concepts make the digital transformation process in industry extremely flexible, cost-efficient and sustainable. With exciting, interactive application examples at Hannover Messe, HMF Smart Solutions will present various options to enable state-of-the-art 5G technology to be cleverly combined with established wireless communication technologies (such as WiFi, LoRa, Bluetooth) in a customised overall system – in order to benefit optimally from the relevant advantages and strengths of the different wireless standards in interaction.

Intelligent Video Applications

Maximum data processing in fractions of a second: The enormous bandwidth of 5G campus networks enables a large number of parallel real-time video streams to be processed from a wide variety of source devices. HMF Smart Solutions will demonstrate a range of possibilities for video monitoring technology via 5G in an industrial environment at Hannover Messe. For example, visitors will see live streams via drone for maintenance and inspection, via bodycam / push-to-talk-over-cellular (PoC) radios (Hytera PNC560) / smart phones & tablets for monitoring, service and support activities as well as documentation. HMF will be demonstrating an AI-based analysis of real-time video feeds using the NSC3 ValoR™ engine from NSION as an example. A wide range of defined objects and events can be automatically detected and/or counted in the video images via switchable AI filters -> The application enables automatic monitoring (securing buildings and factory premises) and control (alerting in the event of fire or damage).

Smart Maintenance

Great savings potential through Smart Maintenance via 5G: Interactive augmented reality applications can significantly support the maintenance, servicing and repair of machines, systems and devices. These require high bandwidths, which a 5G campus network facilitates with ease. Complex tasks, for example, can be carried out by laypersons with the help of augmented reality glasses and the appropriate application, or, if necessary, can be accompanied and monitored remotely by qualified personnel using an integrated camera system. This not only saves time and money, but can also be a valuable relief in times when experts are scarce. HMF Smart Solutions invites visitors to get active on the HMF stand and commission a TETRA base station without the need for any prior knowledge of their own.

Secure and Fast Communication

Secure and fast voice and data transmission: PTTconnect, HMF’s proprietary PTT-over-Cellular (PoC) solution turns any Android-based smart phone into a professional communication device. The intelligent application enables fast, direct call setup via PTT button, individual and group calls, call prioritisation, outstanding audio quality and end-to-end encryption. PTTConnect therefore contains important functions that users are familiar with and appreciate from classic radio technology (e.g. via TETRA standard). The application also offers broadband services for video and data transmission. PTTconnect can be integrated into a private 5G campus network as well as used via commercial 5G network operators and is ideally suited for communication, for example in company fire departments and in logistics.
