Equipped with an ultra-wide input range of 6 to 36VDC and ATX outputs, the highly efficient DC401W delivers a continuous fanless power of 400W. The compact 1U power supply has a modern circuit design according to ATX3.0 specification and thus meets the performance requirements of the latest processor generations. The converter is designed for 24/7 continuous operation in the extended temperature range and delivers its full power from -20° to +60°C.

Versatile fields of application
With an input voltage range of 6 to 36 VDC, the DC401W ensures a reliable and safe power supply for motherboards even in the event of major fluctuations in the supply voltage or when used in mobile on-board power networks (12V/24V). No base load is required at the precisely regulated ATX outputs (+3.3V, +5V, +12V, -12V, +5V standby). In addition, the flexible cable management makes it possible to use customer-specific cable harness solutions. For this purpose, upon request Bicker Elektronik offers an assembly service for the customer’s cable harnesses with individual cable lengths and plug connections.

Reliable compatibility thanks to design according to ATX3.0 specification
The DC401W was designed as an ATX power solution for compact, fanless computer systems. Thanks to the ATX3.0 specification design, the power supply ensures a reliable and stable power supply for current motherboards with the latest Intel® Core™ processors. These CPUs have a highly dynamic power consumption with sometimes extreme jumps in performance within a very short time. Bicker Elektronik explicitly took this into account when developing the DC/DC converter and designed an optimized circuit design that can meet the requirements and offers excellent control stability even at demanding CPU power levels (PL2). In comparison, with a non-optimized converter, the highly dynamic load jumps of the CPU in boost mode can lead to critical voltage drops that are outside the ATX specification and can therefore cause unstable system behavior.

Highly efficient DC/DC converter with fanless contact cooling
With a high efficiency of up to 94% and an optimized thermal design, the DC401W is characterized by high efficiency, minimal heat generation and long-term reliability. A thermal pad on the underside of the circuit board ensures optimum thermal connection of the power components to the housing. This ensures safe and efficient contact cooling.
