PiCA is now part of the Tentamus Group

We are pleased to announce that PiCA Prüfinstitut Chemische Analytik GmbH in Berlin is now part of the Tentamus Group. This acquisition significantly strengthens our analytical capabilities in the field of migration analysis, especially for Food Contact Materials (FCM).

PiCA will become the central competence center for migration analyses within the Tentamus Group. These analyses are crucial for the safety of food packaging, as they ensure that no harmful or undesirable substances migrate from the packaging materials into the food.

In addition to services in the area of food contact materials, PiCA also offers special analyses for valuable and undesirable ingredients for consumer goods, food, cosmetics, and other material samples such as plastics, paints, and adhesives. PiCA also supports its customers with customized special analysis solutions for complex individual tests, method development, and validation. To this end, PiCA has developed analytical solutions for well over 6000 individual organic compounds.

With this acquisition, we can offer our customers even more comprehensive and specialized analyses and further consolidate our position as a leading provider of high-quality analytical services.

About PiCA

PiCA Prüfinstitut Chemische Analytik GmbH in Berlin offers a wide range of services. The main focus is on the analysis of organic substances, measurable with GC and HPLC in almost all matrices such as consumer goods, food, animal feed, cosmetics, water, soil, and air.

PiCA has reference substances and methods for more than 6000 substances.

PiCA’s main areas of activity are:

  • Testing of food contact materials according to Regulation (EC) No. 1935/2004 and 10/2011

PiCA’s research and development team develops methods for customer-specific analyses.
