trans-o-flex: Enhanced quality processes lead to record 24-Hour delivery quotas

In 2023, trans-o-flex successfully delivered 98 per cent of its temperature-controlled ambient shipments within a standard transit time of less than 24 hours. Similarly high values were also achieved for express shipments that offer guaranteed delivery times, and refrigerated pharmaceutical shipments. All delays, including those stemming from traffic jams or accidents, have been factored into the quotas.

In 2023, the logistics service provider trans-o-flex, which specialises in the handling of sensitive shipments in the pharmaceuticals, healthcare, cosmetics, and electronics sectors, reported a new delivery record for its temperature-controlled shipments. Martin Reder, CEO of trans-o-flex proudly proclaims: “We have succeeded in delivering 98.07 per cent of all ambient shipments transported in the temperature range between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius on the next working day.” “These are not express shipments with a guaranteed delivery time, but our standard delivery time, which is not guaranteed.” trans-o-flex had already achieved similar figures in the past for shipments with guaranteed delivery times such as delivery by 10 a.m. According to Reder, these quotas also include all delays for which trans-o-flex is not responsible, such as those caused by traffic jams due to accidents or roadworks. "We attribute our impressively high 24-hour delivery quota to the implementation of additional quality processes for temperature-controlled shipments, which have resulted in shorter handling and overall transport times. For instance, enhanced shipment monitoring has helped to further reduce the proportion of GLB." GLB means goods left behind and refers to shipments that were not loaded onto the scheduled truck or distribution vehicle for various reasons. Reder continued: “Compared to other service providers, our figures thus set the benchmark for quality in shipments without guaranteed delivery times, positioning us as the leader in terms of our speed, security, and reliability."

"Trans-o-flex has not only set new records in terms of the 24-hour delivery quota for its express service but also for the trans-o-flex ThermoMed network, which specialises in pharmaceutical shipments within the 2 to 8 degree range." “We have achieved a delivery quota of 97.68 % in this B2B area,” says Reder. Overall, trans-o-flex ThermoMed successfully delivered 96 percent of all shipments without a transit time guarantee by the next working day. This high delivery quota was achieved despite the higher proportion of shipments involved to private individuals, where many recipients are often unavailable on the first delivery attempt.

trans-o-flex additionally achieved a peak value for non-temperature-controlled shipments without guaranteed delivery times last year. In this segment, 96.5 per cent of all parcels and pallets were thus delivered in less than 24 hours. “Our customers also inform us in personal conversations that trans-o-flex delivers above-average levels of speed and reliability, further motivating us to not let up in our commitment to quality.”
