About ReluxDesktop and Chaos Enscape

ReluxDesktop is a powerful and intuitive free lighting planning software for simulating artificial and daylight. With ReluxDesktop, lighting and electrical planners plan individual rooms, entire floors, industrial halls or outdoor areas such as parking lots, sports facilities and streets – all in just one software. The calculation of absolute values, consideration of national and international standards, compatibility with CAD and BIM systems, and the support of numerous formats for import and export make the software an indispensable tool for lighting and sensor planning. Chaos Enscape is a visualization tool for creating high-quality renderings of BIM and 3D models. Real-time rendering allows free camera movement in the scenes, which can be controlled with the mouse and keyboard or even with a game console controller. Enscape features a daylight sky model and can visualize transparency and reflections in real-time.

Chaos Enscape’s integration in ReluxDesktop 2024.1.

Enscape’s real-time rendering engine integration into ReluxDesktop offers unique photorealistic visualization of lighting projects. Now, lights can be moved, rotated or replaced in the software and the result is directly visible in real time.

The tool is available in ReluxDesktop 2024.1. under the “Real-time Rendering” function, which opens in a separate window with its own controls. The dynamic view in the window is synchronized with the view in a ReluxDesktop project in real-time, and every moment in the rendering window can be captured or recorded for later use.

The real-time rendering engine accesses the computer GPU and requires appropriate computing power depending on the size of the project. Detailed system requirements are available at relux.com/reluxdesktop.

More features in the new update:

• GLDF: The new data format for lights is read in RELUX and can be interpreted. GLDF data can be imported into ReluxDesktop via drag-and-drop.
• New 3D object import: More file formats are now possible with more options in the import window. Improvements have been made to importing textures.
• Update to 64-bit. For more stability of the software, especially for larger projects.
