On the second day of the program, fifteen pupils had the opportunity of visiting the vacuum pump manufacturer Busch. There, they were supervised by
apprentices and carried out vacuum experiments, built a hydraulic robot arm out of wood, and helped assemble vacuum pumps in production.
“We are delighted about the good cooperation with Endress+Hauser and the durlum Group. With the Kids’ Days, we offer our employees’ children a fun
vacation program that also makes things easier for their parents. At the same time, the Kids’ Days allow the children to experiment and discover for
themselves whether they can imagine working in a technical profession later on,” explained HR expert Danny Neumann.
A company presentation and a tour of the production site also gave the young guests the opportunity to get to know Busch Vacuum Solutions better. At the end of the day, the apprentices talked about their experience at the company and gave the students tips on applying for jobs. And since such a busy day works up a good appetite, the children enjoyed two delicious meals on site.
This year, the Kids’ Days, formerly known as “Technology Week,” are a joint
initiative from Busch Vacuum Solutions, Endress+Hauser and the durlum Group. Busch has been involved in this vacation program since 2018.
