This question is often asked by production managers, maintenance personnel and machine operators.
Checking the clamping pressure of the spindle is absolutely advisable from time to time. After all, the safe clamping of the workpieces depends on it. With the new "PocketSense" load cell, vices can now be checked wirelessly at any time. The load cell fits all vices with a minimum clamping width of 61 mm with a minimum jaw height of 39.5 mm and a maximum clamping force of 70 kN. Thanks to its compact design, it even fits in your pocket.
The clamping force is immediately shown on the display and can also be transmitted to end devices such as mobile phones or laptops via Bluetooth. If the PocketSense is not in use, the display goes into standby mode. As soon as the clamping force changes again, it switches back on automatically.
The load cell can be used flexibly and is suitable for many areas. It is particularly interesting for applications where a cable-connected device cannot be used or can only be used inconveniently.
