Farasis Energy will present electric battery technology solutions at LogiMAT 2023

Premiere atmosphere in Stuttgart at LogiMAT: In Hall 9, Booth A30, Farasis Energy will present the Atlas module, which has already proven itself in the industry, to the trade public for the first time. "Customers in the material handling industry have high demands when it comes to electrifying their vehicles," says Dr. Keith Kepler, CTO and co-founder of Farasis Energy. "The optimum usage of the given space is key to ensure the needed performance can be achieved. We can accommodate between 2 and 40 Atlas modules in a forklift truck, depending on the vehicle, thus offering between 6.8 kWh up to 272 kWh." This performance allows for long range and fast-charging; the modules only need to be charged once or twice a day or even within a lunch break. This experience has already been reported by other customers using the Atlas module in this industry.

It also allows for high performance in short intervals such as lifting heavy loads and recuperating energy whilst descending the forks.

Flexible for customer requirements

For many customers, it is important to be able to further develop the module to meet their requirements. "Farasis Energy supports this by enabling, for example, the integration of electrical connections and safety elements, cell monitoring and BMS – to mention just a few options," explains Dr. Stefan Bergold, General Manager at Farasis Energy Europe. “We therefore offer a comprehensive portfolio of Engineering Services; from market leading battery cells to module and battery customizations based on an adaptable design platform”, Bergold added.

Indoor and outdoor use

The Atlas module not only supports the performance of e-forklift trucks indoors, but is also perfectly suited for outdoor use, as it is potted and therefore highly ruggedized. Independent from environmental conditions such as rain, heat or uneven surfaces, the module maintains constant performance.

Core of the Atlas module is Farasis Energy’s next generation NMC cell chemistry which ensures highest safety and performance standards as well as an extended cycle life.
