As part of an asset deal, Muller Martini will take over the new machine business of DGR on March 1, 2023. The company was founded in 1998 and specializes in the development of complete solutions for book production for both soft and hard covers. As part of the takeover, all assets from the new machine business with print finishing machines will be transferred to Muller Martini.
In addition to the machine and service business, Muller Martini will also take over DGR’s spare parts business as of July 1, 2023. As a result, Muller Martini will ensure customer support for DGR customers worldwide.
In the search for an age-related successor, managing partner Gerd Depping and Muller Martini quickly came to an agreement, also due to the local proximity to the Muller Martini site in Rahden.
Muller Martini is pleased to be able to take over not only the interesting technology, but also the employees of DGR. The DGR employees who have been taken over are proven experts in the field of print finishing and thus enrich the team at the Rahden plant. The proximity of just 5 kilometers between the two plants in Rahen and Espelkamp makes this step even easier. Gerd Depping will continue to support the team in an advisory capacity to ensure a smooth transfer of know-how.
The further integration of the DGR machine program into the existing Muller Martini portfolio will be worked out in the coming months.
Existing obligations from the new machine business to customers are still met directly by DGR.
