André Luhn: Many years of experience in the automotive and micromobility sectors
Luhn, who has a degree in industrial engineering, will strategically develop the organization of Morat Swoboda Motion further in line with established growth targets. “I look forward to the challenge of being part of the mobility revolution together with the team at Morat Swoboda Motion. In the coming years, we will successfully establish a number of new projects and technologies that will generate a great deal of added value for our customers,” said Luhn.
The industrial engineer who was born in Erfurt, Germany, began his professional career in engine development for a leading German car manufacturer. Luhn then moved to a publicly traded automotive supplier, where he supervised national and international management tasks in the Quality, Production, and Task Force Management departments. Most recently, Luhn held the position of senior vice president for the micromobility product segment at a renowned German automotive supplier.
Growth results in facility expansion at the production site in Poland
“The business development of Morat Swoboda Motion is very satisfactory. Based on the orders we have already acquired, we will almost quadruple our revenue by the end of 2026,” reported Luhn. At the production site in Nowa Ruda, the company primarily manufactures gear components for e-bike drives and e-automotive projects. “We will completely fill the new production hall within one to two years. This will make a supplementary production area of more than 4,500 m² available,” explained Luhn. The addition is already completed. “In order to be equipped for our further growth and future projects,” added Luhn, “we are already working on new production area concepts.”
Expansion of manufacturing technology spectrum through new projects
Due to the new series-production orders, the current technology spectrum consisting of gear hobbing, vacuum hardening, centerless grinding, hard turning, and continuous generating grinding will be expanded by the production processes of two-frequency inductive hardening, gear honing, spline rolling, and shot peening. The processing machines are intelligently interconnected by automation based on automotive standards. A large number of robots are responsible for machine loading, including loading and unloading the machine tools. This ensures streamlined and efficient production processes from incoming goods to the finished geared components.
