– State-of-the-art encryption provides a high level of data security.

Smart, secure, and ready for Matter: the Bosch Smart Home Controller II is designed for the future of the smart home. As control unit of the Bosch Smart Home System, it bundles all central information, networks all devices, controls functions, scenarios and automations, and is already prepared for Matter, the international smart home standard.

The smart home, networked for the future
The Bosch Smart Home Controller II is prepared for the international connection standard Matter. This will enable the Bosch Smart Home Controller II to integrate current Bosch Smart Home devices into Matter-compatible systems in the future. The simplified interoperability of smart home devices from different manufacturers thus creates a future-proof and customer-friendly solution for all smart home users.

The Bosch Smart Home Controller II is not only the basis of the Bosch Smart Home System: it also forms the interface to the Bosch Smart Home App. All connected smart devices (e.g., voice services, automations or scenarios) can be controlled via the app, even when the user is on the move.

Per default, all data is stored locally. If users want to integrate cloud partner services, they can explicitly deactivate or activate remote access in the settings of the Bosch Smart Home app. State-of-the-art encryption of the communication between the controller and the app guarantees the security of the data, even when on the move.
In the event of an internet failure, on-site functionality is maintained because the Smart Home Controller II controls all Bosch Smart Home devices via its own local wireless network. Only remote access and partner connections are temporarily unavailable in this case.

As usual, users receive additional functions via regular free updates of the Bosch Smart Home Controller, thus continually making the Bosch Smart Home even smarter.
