Sharpist receives ISO certification, the leading international standard for information security

  • As part of the company’s ongoing commitment to data security and protection, Sharpist announces certification to ISO/IEC 27001: 2013.
  • This certification is awarded by the ISO (International Organization for Standardization), an independent, non-governmental organization comprising standards bodies in over 160 countries
  • Sharpist’s certification guarantees the privacy of client data, encompassing hard-copy, digital, and third-party suppliers’ data.

Sharpist, the leading digital coaching provider, has announced its certification to ISO, issued on September 9th, 2022. The certification Sharpist has received, ISO/IEC 27001: 2013, is Europe’s leading standard for data protection, and requires annual maintenance to ensure continued compliance with ISO standards. ISO 27001 standards focus on three fundamentals of data security: confidentiality, protecting systems against unauthorized access, integrity, verifying the reliability and accuracy of data, and availability, protecting information security management systems (ISMS) against data losses.

Since its founding in 2018, Sharpist has emerged as an innovative player in the digital coaching industry, which is predicted to reach a market value of $1.34 bn in 2022, and leadership development. Whereas GDPR compliance focuses largely on customer information, ISO 27001 applies to all business data that is stored either electronically, through hard copies, or via third-party suppliers. ISO 27001 has become the international standard for managing information security, allowing companies to manage the security of assets such as financial data, intellectual property, employee details, and entrusted third-party data. The more comprehensive scope of data protection outlined by the ISO standardizes companies’ information security management systems across companies of all sizes, ensuring efficient, effective regulation and protection of client data.

Hendrik Schriefer, CEO of Sharpist, comments: “At Sharpist, we take privacy and protection of client data extremely seriously. As such, we are delighted to have received ISO certification as recognition of the exceptionally high standards of data security we hold ourselves to. Achieving this landmark has been a collaborative effort across the entire Sharpist team and reflects our continuing commitment to offering best-in-class digital coaching services to match our amazing team.”
