  • New MD for Bechtle IT System House Neckarsulm recruited from within

Bechtle is setting the course for further growth with a new area of remit added to the ranks of Executive Vice Presidents effective at the turn of the year. Oliver Hambrecht, the current Managing Director of Bechtle IT System House Neckarsulm, will assume responsibility for the new regional cluster Southwest Germany/Austria. Taking over his role overseeing 390 employees will be the current Director Project & Service Management, Jochen Rummel. The 53-year-old has been with Bechtle for 15 years, taking on various leading positions during this time.

Oliver Hambrecht, 58, has 36 years’ experience in IT, including 21 years at Bechtle. Since 2018, the Heilbronn native has also held various high-ranking positions at the Heilbronn-Franken Chamber of Commerce and Industry, currently as its Vice President and Chair of the digital economy advisory board. In his upcoming role, the new Executive Vice President will report to Michael Guschlbauer, COO, IT System House & Managed Services, and represent the Bechtle Group’s German system house locations in Neckarsulm, Karlsruhe, Offenburg, Ulm/Augsburg, Freiburg and Lake Constance, the Vienna-based Bechtle IT System House Austria, as well as Bechtle Network & Security Solutions with some 1,200 employees. The expansion of the ranks of Executive Vice Presidents will also entail a reshuffle of the areas of remit of long-term EVPs Andreas Staudigel and Alfred Neidhard. The future focus of Andreas Staudigel, 63, will be on the Bechtle Group’s specialists for application solutions, Aproda in Switzerland, Smartpoint and Dataformers in Austria, as well as Modus Consult and HanseVision in Germany, with a total workforce of more than 650 people. Also effective on 1 January 2023, Alfred Neidhard, 61, will be in charge of the cluster Central and Southern Germany including the system houses in Frankfurt, Darmstadt, Ober-Mörlen, Mannheim, Saarbrücken, Stuttgart, Rottenburg, Würzburg, Nuremberg, Regensburg and Munich, as well as Bechtle’s International Sales Division with over 1,300 employees.

“We are proud to be able to fill both the new EVP position and the consequent vacancy for a managing director from within our own ranks. Over the past two decades, Oliver Hambrecht has done an exceptional job positioning our Neckarsulm system house as a robust player in a highly competitive market. His great experience, his empathetic approach to people, and his strong understanding of the sales business will be a valuable addition to our group of Executive Vice Presidents,” says Michael Guschlbauer, COO, IT System House & Managed Services, Bechtle AG.
