On November 30 – December 01, 2022, this year’s W3+ Fair Rhine Valley (w3-fair.com) with the free accompanying conference en-tech.talks will take place in the Dornbirn Exhibition Center. Even more inspiration awaits exhibitors and visitors, as two additional events take advantage of the fair’s high-quality high-tech environment: TECH.CON, the platform for industry, commerce and production companies in the Lake Constance region, will be held simultaneously in the adjacent hall. Top-class expertise will be brought along by the University of Applied Sciences of Eastern Switzerland, which is docking its established high-tech conference "Precision Photonic Systems" to the W3+ Fair for the first time. This makes Dornbirn an information and networking hotspot in the four-country region – one of the top ten high-tech locations in Europe!
Major companies such as Swarovski, SwissOptic, OptoTech, WZW Optic, APM Technica, the University of Applied Sciences Graubünden, Eplan, Acktar, RhySearch, Laservision, FPM Holding, Victor Kyburz, Chroma Technology, OPC, Polytec, Sensofar and others have already confirmed their participation as exhibitors at the W3+ Fair. The number of partners is also growing. In addition to EPIC, Swissphotonics, Photonics Austria, OptecNet Deutschland, Wetzlar Network, Biolago, IVAM, Spectaris, and Hessen Trade & Invest, the IV Industriellenvereinigung Vorarlberg will be present for the first time, guaranteeing strong regional attention. A central component of the trade show will again be the accompanying conference en-tech.talks with the EPIC TechWatch, which offers best knowledge transfer on topics such as optics manufacturing, business opportunities and Industry 4.0.
Photonics Conference of the University of Applied Sciences of Eastern Switzerland and the TECH.CON trade fair
The new addition of the Photonics Conference the University of Applied Sciences of Eastern Switzerland promises impulses at the highest level. The demanding program can be booked in blocks. All conference participants have free access to the trade fairs and can exchange ideas directly with experts on site.
The TECH.CON fair – the former Lieferantenbörse – has a strong regional anchoring and thus guarantees a lot of attention in the Lake Constance area. This complements the W3+ Fair, which stands for interdisciplinary and transnational exchange. Visitors have access to both trade fairs with one ticket. The conference must be booked separately.
Jörg Brück, Business Director of the W3+ Fair: "By joining forces with TECH.CON and the FH OST conference, we are offering exhibitors and visitors the opportunity to easily gain cutting-edge knowledge and network on a broad scale. Thus, our event will once again become a hub for the high-tech industry: Anyone who wants to find out about current technology-based developments in the Rhine Valley region or is looking for contact with companies should not miss the W3+ Fair."
High-tech location Rhine Valley
The Rhine Valley venue was chosen with care: The transnational region with its focus on research & development is among the top ten of Europe’s 1,200 high-tech locations. The cross-industry concept of the W3+ Fair is particularly effective here. User sectors such as aerospace, automotive, medical technology, life science as well as toolmaking and mechanical engineering benefit from the cross-industry interaction just as much as the high-tech industries themselves.

About the W3+ Fair
The event traces its roots back to an industry imitative organised in Wetzlar and Mittelhessen, and its objective is to interlink the four sectors of optics, photonics, electronics and mechanics. The aim is that new interfaces and points of contact will pave the way for forward-looking technologies. The trade fair debuted at the Rittal Arena in Wetzlar in February 2014. The W3+ Fair is organised by the Hamburg-based company, FLEET Events (www.fleet-events.de). In September 2019, the W3+ Fair Rheintal celebrated its premiere in the transnational region of Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Germany, with EPIC, Swissphotonics and Photonics Austria as its Gold Partners.
