Synple Chem and Metalor Technologies launch cooperation to develop new reagent cartridges for cross-coupling and other transition metal catalysis reaction

New technologies, capable of optimizing processes and improving productivity are currently in high demand in chemistry laboratories. Synple Chem has developed a new automated synthesis technology, which uses revolutionary, preprogrammed reagent capsules to accelerate research by making the synthesis of molecules faster and more efficient. Using this technology chemistry researchers will be able to advance their discovery programs in a fraction of the time. Synple Chem is constantly looking for ways to enable more reactions, new reactions and reagent cartridges for their technology. In particular transition metal catalyzed cross coupling reactions were requested frequently from customers. With the help of Metalor Technologies, Synple was able to identify the ideal catalyst to start the development of these new cartridge types.

Metalor is always on the lookup for new technologies and innovations in the field of precious metal catalysis. The collaboration with Synple Chem is expected to bring easily accessible synthesis tools for precious metal catalysis to their customers. This will enable Metalor to broaden the range of products it is currently offering while supporting their customers through the whole development process, from early phase research, to pilot scale until large production scale.

About Metalor Technologies
Metalor Technologies SA. is a world supplier of precious metals and advanced materials. The company uses Swiss precision technology to develop high purity metals, products and solutions which are used in a large number of applications across many industries – including catalysts used in the pharmaceutical and fine chemical companies.

The company was founded in the Canton of Neuchatel in 1852 as a company specialized in the melting of gold and the manufacture of watch cases. Today, Metalor is part of the Tanaka Precious Metals Group, a world leader in precious metals applications since 1885.

Metalor revenues are divided equally among its three business groups: Metalor Refining, Metalor Advanced Coatings and Metalor Electrotechnics. Headquartered in Marin (canton of Neuchatel, Switzerland), the Group has 17 subsidiaries and operates refineries in Europe, USA and in Asia. It employs 1,500 people worldwide, of which 280 in Switzerland.
