Electrically adjustable comfort furniture featuring individually adjustable positioning is in demand – not only for the private sphere but also for offices, hotels and cinemas. "Furnishing trends reflect the current needs of society, with many people prioritizing security and comfort, especially now during the Corona pandemic. Thanks to their modern drive and system technology, adjustable seating and beds are able to combine ergonomics and relaxation into a real experience," explains Jörg Lehnen, Division Manager of Seating at DewertOkin.
The DewertOkin stand at the imm cologne 2022 trade fair will be presenting DewertOkin’s answer to the question of smart furniture for the coming years. The applications shown here are equipped with drive and system technology from DewertOkin which enables them to satisfy the demanding requirements for comfort and functionality from furniture manufacturers and end users. These technical components enable the back and foot sections of upholstered beds, recliners and comfort sofas to be adjusted quickly, quietly and smoothly.
Technology for the future of furniture
Digitalization is playing an increasing role in modern furnishing. "To reach younger digitally savvy customers, furniture manufacturers must meet their increasing expectations for connectivity. That’s why our products have many special features, such as Bluetooth® and memory functionality," explains Jörg Lehnen. This allows users to conveniently control furniture using their smartphone or tablet. Chairs and beds can also be easily adjusted using user-friendly control keypads such as DewertOkin’s Atlas or Ridge.
In addition to control keypads and linear drives (such as the compact and powerful JLDQ.20), the displayed products also include robust high-quality hardware mechanisms, also from the DewertOkin portfolio. The OBM100 and OBM50 bed mechanisms and a selection of chair mechanisms such as the new Mechatronics™ ensure improved safety, extra functionality and easy installation.
The complete solution from a single source
In addition to these individual components from the field of drive and system technology, DewertOkin also implements customer-specific projects with complex requirements. "With our complete technical solutions, we strive to set important trends throughout the industry and further promote the development of smart furniture, just as our corporate motto suggests – One-stop shopping for smart furniture," says Jörg Lehnen.
DewertOkin will be exhibiting at imm cologne 2022 at Stand C070 in Hall 6.1.
