Next Level Integration and Arvato Systems continue to grow together

  • Merger supports the clear market presence
  • Software and IT solutions of both companies for the energy industry are bundled in the Arvato Energy Platform®.

Effective January 1, 2022, Next Level Integration GmbH (NLI) will be integrated into Arvato Systems. In this course, both companies‘ successful energy market software solutions will also merge seamlessly into the Arvato Energy Platform® (AEP).

Cologne-based NLI has already been a 100% company of the Arvato Systems Group since May 2017. It provides more than 250 municipal utilities and suppliers with innovative software for handling central energy industry processes and applications. The joint branding now due to start in January, and the further bundling of the companies‘ strengths and solutions is the next logical step and the response to the dynamic development in the energy market. "Decarbonization, decentralization, digitization, new business models and changing market processes – the energy market is changing rapidly," explains Matthias Moeller, CEO of Arvato Systems Group. " Traditional IT tools can no longer cope with the requirements and the increasing pace of change. In all market roles, IT solutions with comprehensive functionality combined with maximum flexibility and scalability will be indispensable in the future. This is exactly what the Arvato Energy Platform® offers – deployed in the Microsoft Azure Cloud."

"Winners will be our customers."

Andreas Pöhner, Managing Director of NLI and Vice President Utilities Solutions at Arvato Systems from January, adds: "The winners of the merger will be our customers. Arvato Systems and NLI have shown that together they have the power and expertise to develop and operate a platform solution like AEP. As an established player in the energy industry, we are now continuing on this successful path with our combined presence as Arvato Systems. Together, we offer an unparalleled product in terms of functionality, flexibility and performance. Whether network operator, energy supplier, metering point operator, plant manager, neighborhood manager, or sustainability manager – AEP offers all basic functionalities, cross-sectional functions, an specialist applications across all market roles. Customers can simply book the services and functions they need. Existing solutions at customers‘ sites can be easily integrated – if desired."

In 2022, the company name and logo will be replaced by NLI. The solid joint brand presence as Arvato Systems will further strengthen the cross-location cooperation between the teams that has grown over a long time. "After all, we have been practicing close and trusting teamwork with well-rehearsed and productive processes for more than four years," says Pöhner. "Now, however, we are once again making our clearly defined joint mission visible to the outside world. And we are very optimistic that the prospect of being able to offer and further develop the leading platform for the energy market will once again release a lot of energy."
