End of an era at Flottweg: Fritz Colesan retires

From 1986 to 2021: The Colesan era at Flottweg

Fritz Colesan’s career at Flottweg is characterized by various stations within the company: Fritz Colesan started at Flottweg in the Research and Development department in 1986 after completing his studies in food technology. In May 1987, together with Peter Jöhrer, he began to set up and expand the sales group "Machines for the Beverage Industry". 20 years later Fritz Colesan took over the position of Sales Manager and eventually became the new spokesperson for Flottweg’s Board of Directors in 2008.

Flottweg has experienced significant changes since 2008: Starting with the sales figures, which have doubled from 120 to 240 million euros within the last decade, to the steadily increasing number of employees, now numbering around 1,000. As spokesperson for the Board, Colesan’s focus over the past 13 years has been on internationalization and the expansion of the Vilsbiburg site.

However, Fritz Colesan remains with Flottweg despite his retirement: Initially, as a consultant, he assists the Supervisory Board in implementing the "Strategy 2025" project. Following this, Fritz Colesan succeeds Peter Bruckmayer on the Supervisory Board, which means that he will continue to be an important part of the company in the future.
