At the very centre of the show’s events, exhibitors will speak at the two exhibitor forums, impressing interested visitors with their innovations, presenting their solutions and discussing the latest trends with the public. Exhibitors still have until 15 September to submit their 15-minute product presentations and a following ten-minute discussion round here. The full programme of presentations can be viewed at: www.feuertrutz-messe.de/programme
BIM goes fire protection
The BIM Forum is all about the fascinating, future-oriented subject of Building Information Modelling. Professional contacts for BIM solutions will present the use of BIM in their companies or exciting projects using BIM, and will discuss progress in this area in the context of preventive fire protection with industry professionals and other experts. Visitors to the Trade Fair and Congress can attend the BIM Forum at no cost. In addition to the exhibitor presentations, the programme will include a keynote speech at the opening ceremony and panel discussions on the current level of progress with BIM. Topics for presentations at this forum can also still be submitted here.
Fire Protection EXPERIENCE
The Fire Protection EXPERIENCE is a combination of indoor presentations at trade fair stands and the outdoor Fire Protection presentation area. That makes it the ideal platform for making “fire protection” something participants can experience firsthand through live presentations. A range of exhibitors will make use of 15-minute presentation slots scheduled throughout the day to present their products to the public in realistic deployment scenarios. See here for all further information on the Fire Protection EXPERIENCE.
Fire Protection Congress
Once again this year, the Fire Protection Congress, organized by FeuerTrutz Network GmbH, will take place in parallel with the trade fair events. One of the key themes for the congress in 2021 will be “Solutions for Special Buildings”. The presentations in a dedicated block at the congress will show how fire protection designers and engineers achieve individual, safe and cost-effective solutions for various special building types. Experienced practitioners will draw on examples to outline state-of-the-art solutions to problems, and avoidable errors for various types of special building. This year will be the tenth time this three-tier congress is planned to be held in Nuremberg, and now it can also be followed online in parallel as a live stream. Additional themes for the congress include new options for multi-storey wooden structures, the 2021 Garage Ordinance (Garagen-Verordnung, GaVO) and e-mobility, practical hints for drawing up plans, and the law on fire protection and construction products. Compact seminar “Fire Protection DIRECT – Extinguishing Technology”
The joint seminar by the Bundesverband Technischer Brandschutz (Federal Association for Technical Fire Protection, bvfa) and FeuerTrutz Network on 19 October 2021 expands the range of information offered by FeuerTrutz and also looks toward the future: What changes will new logistics projects bring, and what changes can be expected in automated warehouse systems, which will require appropriate protection strategies for extinguishing systems? The speakers will also introduce the latest updates to the regulations governing sprinkler systems. In addition to the important insights and experience relating to protecting rack systems using rack sprinklers, a further focus will be on the maintenance of sprinkler systems: What are the key points to remember for sprinkler system maintenance, and what are the differences between maintenance in accordance with VdS CEA 4001 and the data sheets from FM Global? The full programme and the link to book the seminar is available here.
Professional development and career opportunities at FeuerTrutz
The shortage of skilled personnel is a concern for many companies, including those in the area of preventive fire protection. FeuerTrutz provides active assistance in this regard with formats such as the Training & Career Meeting Point, the Career Day and the Job Board. The Training & Career Meeting Point pavilion is where many prominent training providers gather in one place to offer comprehensive information about various training and professional development opportunities in the fire protection industry. At the Career Day, companies have the opportunity to make themselves known to students and graduates in a range of subject areas and show what professional prospects the fire protection industry and the companies themselves have to offer. Specific job offers can be published via the Job Board, and are also made available via the digital platform in addition to the in-person event. They can also be found on the FeuerTrutz Network website all year round. This approach adds more value by aiming at a wider audience and ensuring greater attention. FeuerTrutz also provides encouragement for young companies and start-ups in the fire protection industry, which can present their innovative products and procedures at the “Innovation made in Germany” pavilion sponsored by the German Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi).
