Over 850 HARTING employees vaccinated at the company

The HARTING Technology Group is reporting a positive summary of its vaccination campaign: A total of over 850 HARTING employees took up the company’s offer and got their jabs from the team headed by company doctor Dr. Rainer Hafer (Stemwede) on two days in June in the specially set-up vaccination centre in Plant 8.

The second vaccination followed five weeks later, again offering two dates. "We are delighted with this great response. This is a big step towards getting back to normal conditions," as André General, Central Human Resources Manager at the HARTING Technology Group enthused. "The vaccination team was very well coordinated."

According to the number of registrations, three to five vaccination booths were available. In this way, it was possible to vaccinate 15 employees within a mere ten minutes.
The team of Dr. Hafer’s practice is still available for all employees who were unable to attend the previous vaccination dates or who subsequently decide for vaccination. Employees can set up a vaccination appointment directly through the practice.

Continued focus on regular testing

The inoculation booths and other installations will initially remain on site at Plant 8. "We can use the infrastructure for later vaccinations, whether it’s flu shots or possible Corona booster shots," says Tim Franke, the human resources officer responsible for health management at the HARTING Technology Group.

HARTING is ensuring that the Corona protection measures continue to be complied with. All HARTING employees who were absent from work for at least five consecutive working days due to holidays or comparable leave of absence from duty or work must submit a negative Corona test to the employer on the first working day following the interruption of work. Alternatively, proof of complete immunisation (recovered or fully vaccinated) can be provided, as Tim Franke went on to explain. In this way, the technology group is implementing a corona protection ordinance issued by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Staff returning from holidays can take the Corona rapid tests free of charge as part of citizen testing at a testing centre operated by the counties and independent cities. Moreover, HARTING offers all employees the opportunity to receive a voucher for a free Corona PCR test at the test centres of the “Mühlenkreiskliniken” clinics. In addition, HARTING is conducting regular bi-weekly tests at all plants.
