The heart of this campaign is an inspiring and genuine image film that shows the analogies between nature —in which the products of this outdoor and bike bag manufacturer are used— and the ORTLIEB manufacturing process. The nature shots of the film were filmed in Iceland and show the raw and unchanged landscape in its originality. The corresponding images of the production process were shot at ORTLIEB’s headquarters in Heilsbronn, Franconia. These opposite yet analogous visual worlds highlight the properties of the sustainable ORTLIEB products through their durability, reparability and robustness while also encouraging the viewer to go on a reflective journey themselves.
In its indestructibility, these waterproof backpacks and bicycle bags are not only made for endless adventures, but also show that durability through high quality materials and the possibility of repair is immensely important in the making of sustainable products.
Felix Kerscher, Art Director at ORTLIEB, was responsible for the conception and implementation of this brand campaign, and was realized together with the Stilgebiet Agency. The image film will be shown internationally over several channels throughout the year, with a variety of topics. In addition to the strong focus on digital, there will also be an Out-of-Home campaign.
