• New Service – The Mouser Electronics Online Ohm’s Law Calculator
  Recently added to Mouser’s free Technical Resource Centre, the online Ohm’s law calculator saves design engineers time and helps them through the design process. The Ohm’s calculator makes it quick and easy to find necessary values at the click of a button, and can help engineers make conversions using Watts‘ law – calculating power, current, voltage, or resistance. The Technical Resource Centre offers a printable conversion chart for handy reference, and includes an extensive line-up of online calculators to help engineers at all levels.

• New Product – Analog Devices’ LTC6228 and LTC6229 Op Amps
  The LTC6228 (single) and LTC6229 (dual) 730 MHz operational amplifiers offer ultra-low 0.88 nV/√Hz voltage noise and low distortion performance of better than -100dB at 4 VP-P for large signals as fast as 2 MHz. The devices are designed to drive the LTC2387-18 18-bit successive-approximation-register (SAR) analogue-to-digital converter (ADC) for high-speed data acquisition and imaging applications. They operate from a single supply of 2.8 V to 11.75 V and can support ±5 V (or other lower split supply) while maintaining excellent performance at high frequency and slew rates of 500 V/µs. The input can ground sense, while the outputs swing rail-to-rail. The LTC6229 is offered in a tiny 3 mm × 3 mm DFN package, while the LTC6228 is offered in a 2 mm × 2 mm DFN package.

• New Product – STMicroelectronics’ MASTERGAN1 System-in-Package (SiP).
  An advanced power system-in-package, the MASTERGAN1 integrates a gate driver and two enhancement-mode GaN transistors in a half‑bridge configuration. The integrated power GaNs feature an RDS(ON) of 150mΩ and 650V drain-source breakdown voltage. The integrated bootstrap diode can quickly supply the high side of the embedded gate driver. The MASTERGAN1 features UVLO protection on both the lower and upper driving sections. This protection prevents the power switches from operating in low efficiency or dangerous conditions. The interlocking function avoids cross-conduction conditions. Target applications include switch-mode power supplies, high-voltage PFC, DC-DC and DC-AC converters, chargers and adapters, UPS systems, and solar power.
