Less than two kilometres from Geneva city centre, a new urban centre with offices and commercial space, restaurants, leisure and public facilities is being built around Lancy-Pont-Rouge train station. In its capacity as total contractor, Implenia has already completed three buildings in the new district on plots B1, B4 and B5. Jens Vollmar, Head Division Buildings, is delighted about the new contract, which was concluded as a result of the “long-standing and trusting relationship between Swiss Prime Site and Implenia”.
Alto Pont-Rouge will meet the highest sustainability standards and will be at least SNBS Gold certified. The design, created by Brodbeck Roulet Architectes Associés, combines elegance and modernity with quality and comfort. The central atrium and glass façades will ensure plenty of natural light.
Construction starts in November 2020 with completion of the works scheduled for June 2023. Direct access to the Léman Express commuter rail network, Lancy-Pont-Rouge train station and the motorway offer excellent transport links. At the same time, the close proximity to SBB’s rail tracks also presents a logistical challenge. To ensure quality, adherence to schedules and seamless communication during the construction phase, Implenia relies on processes that incorporate the latest innovations in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Lean Construction as well as on the professionalism of the execution team, which was also involved in constructing the first buildings in the Pont-Rouge district.
