More PoE ports, less space requirements

Power over Ethernet (PoE) is playing an increasingly important role in machine vision, surveillance and access control. On the one hand, the number of PoE-capable devices is constantly increasing, while on the other hand, the technology enables simplified installation and lower installation costs. The new Power over Ethernet expansion card GPOE-6P from ICP Germany completes the GPOE expansion card series. In addition to the existing 2 and 4 port solution, the GPOE-6P with 6 PoE ports can now be used. Compact in size of 170 x 107 mm, it has a PCI Express x4 interface and can be used in a variety of systems. The physical Ethernet interfaces are certified according to the IEEE 802.3at/bt standard and automatically detect PoE or non PoE capable devices. The GPOE-6P offers a maximum output power of 90 watts per port, with a maximum total output power of 180 watts. An operating temperature of 0°C to 60°C and the input voltage of 12V~24VDC offer sufficient flexibility for the user. The included GPOE management software tools allow the use under Windows and Linux. Thus, the GPOE-6P PCIe expansion card is the perfect basis for the successful setup of surveillance applications on smallest space.
