LUM quality management system again certified according to ISO 9001: 2015

Effective May 20, 2020, LUM continues to be certified, now for the scope: Design, production and marketing of measurement- and analysis techniques for particle, dispersion and materials characterization as well as services. Through the repeat audit, performed by DQS GmbH, Deutsche Gesellschaft zur Zertifizierung von Managementsystemen, it was verified that the management system fulfils the requirements of the standard ISO 9001:2015.

Prof. Dr. Dr. Lerche, Managing Director of LUM GmbH: “Quality has been a top priority at LUM since the company was founded in 1994, and we have been working according to ISO 9001 since the first certification in 1996. Quality awareness cannot be instructed, it only comes about through the attitude and actions of all employees. The management would like to thank them and our quality officer. The recertification on schedule consistently continues this company policy and takes into account the new requirements of the constantly developing company. With the expansion of the portfolio to include process measurement technology, it is not only our wish, but also a necessity to work with a quality management system in order to meet the requirements of the customers.

On the other hand, the integration of the LUM measuring devices in the quality management systems of the customers is made significantly easier by on-site device qualification, especially in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food sectors. Examples include the particle size measuring devices LUMiSizer® (ISO 13318) and the new LUMiReader®PSA (ISO 13317). We expect a comparable quality policy from our suppliers in order to design the entire value chain from component to our end product in high quality.“
